Facebook is seeking a solutions-oriented, analytical, dynamic and proactive Market Specialist – Data to join our Market Operations team who can convert data insights into tangible process and product optimizations in close collaboration with a large network of internal partners. The Market Operations team develops scaled solutions to user issues, protects users by decreasing negative engagement on the site, and delivers qualitative and quantitative insight into user behaviour. This individual will sit within the Nordic team, and work to improve the overall user experience for that market, as well as solve thematic global issues. The Market Specialist will be part of a data-driven analysis culture and help us intelligently scale our operations by optimizing and automating processes, solve challenging problems and most importantly, help to prevent them. This position is full time and is based in our Dublin, Ireland office.


  • Investigate and resolve issues that are reported on Facebook such as requests for account support and reports of potentially abusive content
  • Liaise closely with internal partners, secure commitments and resources to proactively drive and successfully close projects and initiatives
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert and Go-to-Person for specific, complex topics and liaise closely with relevant teams and stakeholders
    Use market specific knowledge, signals and insights to develop scalable solutions to support Facebook and our users in the Nordic region
  • Gather, analyze and utilize relevant data to develop ways to improve the overall user experience on the site
  • Convert data sets into visually compelling presentations to showcase findings to internal partners and senior management
  • Work directly with users to resolve site issues, identify user trends, test products, identify bugs, and work with cross- functional partners such as engineering or product teams to resolve issues
  • Use your technical and problem solving skills to resolve large and complex business problems
  • Investigate reported abuse issues on Facebook and respond to user inquiries




  • Bachelors degree and/or masters or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of building and managing internal, cross-functional relationships within large-scale organizations preferred
  • Technical and data skills such as SQL, Python and Excel are a plus
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • A self starter and be able to multitask different priorities of work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Fluency in written and conversational in English and Danish is essential
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Avid Facebook user, a passion for the product and ensuring a good user experience
