The Global Graduate Program is addressing graduates with a dual academic background in natural science and business.

As a participant, you are part of Merck Inhouse Consulting, the internal consultancy of Merck. Your task is supporting our headquarters as well as subsidiaries in the development and implementation of strategic management as well as operational projects. From the very beginning, you will be part of Merck’s Inhouse Consulting team – and thus a broad worldwide network with a direct connection to senior management. You will receive a limited contract for 24 months. However, it is our clear objective to place all GOglobal graduates into permanent roles following successful completion of the program.

WHO YOU ARE

• Master degree (PhD is a plus), either:
  • Degree(s) in science or engineering and a secondary qualification in business, e.g. through business degrees or classes, participation in extra-curricular activities, and/or internship experience) or vice versa OR 
  • Business-related degree with a distinct supply chain focus
• Outstanding academic performance
• Ideally two demanding consulting or industry-related internships
• International experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Profound knowledge of MS Office
• Fluency in English (German or other language skills a plus)

The Functional Graduate Program is addressing ambitious graduates who want to unleash their potential within a specific business function. In the course of your individual rotation plan, you get the chance to broaden your experience and gain insights into diverse aspects of the respective function. Through its set-up, the program offers you a great opportunity for networking and intercultural exchange. You will receive a limited contract for 24 months *¹ *². However, it is our clear objective to place all GOglobal graduates into permanent roles following successful completion of the program.

The home bases are mainly located in Darmstadt (Germany), Shanghai (China) and/or the greater Boston area (USA). 

Most of the programs consist of three assignments*³:

• First assignment: will take place at your home base.
• Second assignment: you will be going international to one of our subsidiaries around the globe.
• Third assignment: you will get the chance to broaden your perspective and gain experience in a different functional scope or business area.
