Bank of Ireland is the sum of many parts, working together to deliver on our collective strategy. From the design and sales of our products, serving our customers excellently, or trading on international markets, all parts of the Bank work as one group, one team.

Our aim is to be a leading UK multi-niche Bank providing simple, flexible, accessible financial services and products to UK customers, both directly and through partnerships with trusted, respected brands and intermediaries.

We partner with the Post Office and this has enabled us to widen our propositions and products, strengthen our relationships with existing customers as well as attract new ones.

In Northern Ireland, we operate a full service retail and commercial branch network. Our successful Bank of Ireland for Intermediaries mortgage business has established strong partnerships with some of the largest mortgage intermediary networks in the UK.

We also have a very successful car and asset finance business, which operates in Northern Ireland and Great Britain, under the Northridge Finance brand.

When applying, you will have the opportunity to specify your key areas of interest.

The Programme

Our graduate programme streams offers a rotational experience across different areas in the Bank. Each rotation is specifically designed to empower graduates to develop the critical skills that fast track their progression and advancement.

During your three rotations, you will build strong management, interpersonal and technical skills, as well as getting exposure to business critical projects in a fast paced environment.

You are empowered throughout to seek new experiences and expand your network through cross collaboration. You will have the opportunity to experience different areas of the business and to contribute to meaningful transformation projects that support our Group strategy.

The Opportunity

You’ll connect with colleagues across various business sectors, building a valuable support network. You’ll also complete a tailored development programme, a two-year immersive learning experience that develops and enhances your skills and supports our strategic priorities.

Guided by your buddy and mentor, as well as facilitated networking events, your visibility across the Bank of Ireland Group will pave the way for further progression!

What you will get in return

Our tailored Graduate Development Programme is a blend of virtual and classroom training, facilitating connections with peers, the organisation, and its culture. Over the program’s duration, you’ll develop crucial skills ranging from relationship management, business promotion techniques, presentation skills and financial well-being.

We are committed to providing you with significant flexibility to help you to thrive. Key to this is our hybrid working model. We have administrative buildings, remote working hubs, and work from home options that are centered on enabling and empowering you to work in a way that is more flexible and productive for you.
