About the division:
A Coverage banker focuses on understanding the client’s business, strategy, and key decision makers, originating business opportunities and cross selling the extensive Deutsche Bank service and product range.
The Coverage team is engaged in providing the widest range of Deutsche Bank’s products and services to our most relevant corporate clients, ensuring that the bank covers all potential needs from a financial, transactional, risk management and advisory points of view.
You will support in originating profitable business opportunities for the bank with our key client base, both by working with the client’s head office and their subsidiaries across all countries where Deutsche Bank is present. You will get first-hand exposure to a dynamic environment with business opportunities spanning over the whole treasury spectrum, including lending, debt capital markets financing, FX, trade finance, cash management and more.
About the role:
Assist the Corporate Coverage Senior Team in the advisory of key client relationships, business origination and identification of prospect clients.
Maintain and coordinate regular and frequent dialogue with product partners across Deutsche Bank’s global network to deliver against the client agenda.
Produce best in class presentations to support Deutsche Bank’s marketing effort and client pitches.
Provide financial analysis, risk assessment and analytical support for clients’ situations.
Daily interactions and support of our Corporate Coverage Bankers internationally in their origination effort and implementation of transactions.
Support with credit approval requests centrally and in-country, in the name of product sales teams.
Assisting team leaders to form viable business strategies, implementation plans, as well as prompt work process adjustments to adapt to changes in the market/regulatory environments.
What we look for:
We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines. Even though good levels of numeracy are important for some roles, you won’t necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial academic background. Our comprehensive training programmes will give you all the technical knowledge you’ll need to build a career with us.
To be eligible for the 2025 Graduate Programme you must:
- Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st January 2024 and 31st July 2025.
- Be able to start full time work in July 2025, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
- Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience.
Skills:
- Relevant financial experience of around 1 year.
- High level knowledge on Microsoft Office tools: PowerPoint and Excel will be used on a daily basis.
- Bilingual in Portuguese and English. A third language is highly appreciated.
- Proactive, self-driven, result-oriented and commercial-entrepreneurial oriented.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to prioritize and handle deadlines and pressure.
Team players with the ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment.
- Adaptable, flexible and creative to generate ideas and foster origination.
