As a part of your team, you will
• provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
• providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production
Your team
You’ll be working in the Group Function – Reference Data services team who are driving innovation and reengineering. We analyze, develop, and deliver global solutions to maintain or change our IT systems with our business counterparts. Together as a team, we provide strategic and optimize solution to provision reference data to our users in line with the established Corporate IT Standards. Your expertise
We welcome applicants who have either already graduated from a recognized university or are in the final year (seventh semester) of their degree course at the start of the Program in July 2025.
For many of our technical roles, we do ask that you have already obtained a Bachelor’s degree or are studying towards a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification. No professional experience is necessary, but a computer science or computer engineering-related background is a plus.
• interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
• fluent in English and a great communicator both written and verbal
• knowledge of programming language preferably JAVA, Python, PL/SQL (or any Object-oriented programming language).
• exposure or awareness of the technical areas around Azure Cloud, Databricks, Cloud pipelines (using Akka/Spark streams), Cloud deployment (Kubernetes & Helm), Big Data, Gitlab and Runners will be added advantage.
• strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technology.
• good at building networks and connections and a pragmatic “can do” attitude
• passionate about what you do (and really excellent at it)
