We are looking for 2 Digital Graduates to join us in Copenhagen and 1 to join us in Hong Kong.


The Carlsberg Graduate Programmes are all 2-year programmes with a steep learning curve and lots of exciting projects and tasks. You will be taken through three job rotations during the programme. Some of our programmes offers a rotation abroad.

The digital graduate programme is a rewarding opportunity tailored towards top-class students fresh out of university. The program offers you as a talented individual with the right mind-set, a unique way of gaining hands-on experience in what it really takes to enable high performance in a multinational company of +40.000 employees.

We designed the programme in such a way that you will be empowered to make a difference from day one. You’ll partner with our functional counterparts (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain or Commercial) to pave the way for new exciting digital opportunities. In other words, you should be ready to hit the ground running and share your insights and ideas from the day you start!

The Digital Graduate programme runs for two years during which you’ll experience at least three different types of roles in Carlsberg IIT. After the programme, we anticipate that you will have learned and grown, and we’ll be ready to offer you an exciting role in the organization and continue to sponsor your development to become one of Carlsberg’s future leaders.

What we’re looking for in our future Digital Graduates

You are determined and playful, when you work to realise your digital ideas, when you engage in complex problem solving, and when you secure our rock-solid-run operations. You’ll like to see things through to completion, so you’ll take the lead on any assignment you are given and drive the outcomes until you see the success.

You’re not a huge fan of failure, but you know that sometimes it’s a steppingstone towards success. You are flexible, open-minded and embrace change. You are socially intelligent and understand that the best work is done when a bit of fun is added to the process. We assume that you’re an experienced user of the Microsoft O365 suite. Maybe you even have some experience with PowerApps, Power BI and Power Automation.

Furthermore, it’s an advantage if you possess some of the following qualifications:

  • Curiosity about and basic insight into disruptive technologies – e.g. IoT, Intelligent Automation, blockchain etc.
  • Understanding of the importance of data to today’s enterprise and the ability to transform findings into value-adding activities
  • Insight into the design of user interfaces and user experience (UI/UX)
  • Passion for innovation – understand how technology drives business innovation
  • Experience with the toolboxes of project, process and/or product management
  • Understanding of agile ways of working
  • Strong business acumen and a desire to lead the way
  • A great ambassador for technology

It’s a requirement for all our global programmes that you:

  • Have a relevant master’s degree (or will obtain it this summer)
  • Speak and write English at a high level
  • Have relevant working experience from e.g. student jobs

Some travel may be expected at times (post C-19).

What you can expect from the Programme

We’re expecting a lot, but we will give you just as much (and then some) in return.

You will be paired with a mentor from our global IIT Leadership Team, who will help and guide you throughout the programme. You are responsible for your learning however your mentor can help you challenge your thinking and provide you with feedback, support and sponsorship as you navigate different situations.

Our CIO and the Leadership team are the programme sponsors and are invested in building our future leaders. They have high expectations but are also very ready to share their immense experience with you while learning from you at the same time. Throughout the two years, you will get many chances to pitch your ideas to them!

This year we are looking for three unique, enthusiastic and passionate graduates so you’ll have a ready-made community for sparring, knowledge sharing and networking.

How to apply and what to expect in the application process

This year we are introducing a more virtual recruitment set-up due to COVID-19. We have worked hard the past months to set up a hire process that gives all applicants a safe and fair experience applying with us. Below you can get an idea about the steps that you will go through and the overall timeframe.

Step 1 – Applying

Once you have found the right programme for you the first step is to start your application. 

  • Contact info
  • Online screening questions and some light assessments of your understanding of the role, your personality profile incl. emotional intelligence and decision-making style
  • Upload of your documents (we expect you to include minimum your CV, motivational letter and transcript of your latest grades)

Deadline for applying is Sunday the 7th of February 2021 . It is a prerequisite that you apply through Softfactor and all required documents are uploaded, as well as all assessments completed.

All applicants receive a feedback report after applying. We hope this will be inspirational for your future development no matter the outcome of the application process.

Step 2 – Online Assessment

We will review all candidates and come back to you at the latest on Monday the 1st of March to let you know if you have been selected to go further in the hire process.

Selected candidates will be invited to do a thorough online assessment which amongst others include a business case, conflict assessment and assessment of your communication style. It takes approximately 1 hour to fill out all assessments. You should do these as soon as possible when you receive them. The exact deadline will be communicated to you together with the invitation, but we currently expect that you will have until the 7th of March.

Step 3 – Interviewing & signing

Successful candidates from the assessment step will receive an invitation for an online interview no later than the 22nd of March . Interviews will be conducted from invite is send out until mid-April. Details about the interview will be communicated together with the invitation. Candidates who are not invited for an interview will be notified by email.

Based on the interview and all past results in the hire process our preferred candidates will proceed to a 2nd interview, which we hope to be able to do in person.

Following this interview round there will be a final 3rd interview for the top candidates with an Executive VP or other senior stakeholder within the function, before you potentially are offered a contract. We expect to have signed with all our future Graduates at the end of April .
