International Business Trainee in IT Business &Technology Development
Are you a graduate with an interest in IT and business processes? And would you like to join an innovative IT organisation in a global fashion company where you will be focusing on the IT solutions within our global logistics operations, our retail or wholesale operations, IT Workforce, or IT Sourcing? Then the International Business Trainee Programme in IT Business &Technology Development might be the perfect match for you.
WHY THE IBT PROGRAMME?
BESTSELLER’s International Business Trainee (IBT) Programme offers ambitious graduates from all over the world the chance to explore the core business areas of an international company and gain valuable working experience in one of nine specialist fields at our headquarters in Denmark and potentially at one of our global offices.
BEING AN IBT IN IT BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT
We are around 240 people strong, located in Denmark and in Spain. We are excited about what we do, but there’s more to us than our tech stack. We are young at heart and thrive in a flat organisation. Our teams are agile and empowered with end-to-end responsibility. We want to be at the forefront of the newest technologies, and we move forward together. Every day. If you want to play a significant part in empowering our business, then welcome to BESTSELLER IT.
This year, we are offering two different roles in five different areas within BESTSELLER IT:
- IT Analyst
As an Analyst in either our IT Workforce team, our logistics operations, or in our IT retail or wholesale area, you will work in a cross-functional Scrum team, with end-to-end responsibility for the processes and solutions across BESTSELLER’s brands, functions, and markets worldwide. Your tasks will include analysing your respective business area and formulating ways for the business to optimise processes and use of IT systems in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the IT Sourcing team. In our cross-functional Scrum team, we have end-to-end responsibility for the sourcing processes across BESTSELLER, and as our new Developer, your responsibility will be to develop great solutions closely together with the team. Your tasks will include coding and participating in workshops as well as discussing technical solutions.
As an IT analyst, you have a natural interest in IT, business processes, and organisations and an ambition to understand the full value chain of our business. You impress with excellent analytical as well as strong interpersonal skills. You are proactive and not afraid to independently engage with stakeholders to collect requirements and process these into solution proposals. You are an outgoing and independent person with a high professional drive, enabling you to find optimal solutions for your tasks. You work in a structured and determined manner, which helps you to understand broad and complex contexts and present it to others in a clear and simple manner. You always strive to exceed expectations and meet deadlines with a focus on quality.
As a Developer, you are curious about technologies by nature, and you write your stable code with good scalability. You actively participate in discussing technical solutions and inspire your team to explore and experiment with these. In both roles, you cultivate a culture of trust, openness, and honesty and see failure as an opportunity to learn.
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within IT, data science, supply chain, business, information technology or information science, business development, project management, or similar
- Experience working in related fields (depending on profile) – IT, logistics, retail – is an advantage, but not a requirement
- For Analyst profiles: Basic understanding of IT tools
- For Developer profile: Frontend (React (v 17+ – incl hooks), TypeScript (v 4.2+), Redux, Jest/Enzyme or React Testing Library, Backend (REST/GraphQL/Kafka, PL/SQL/ NoSql), DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, K8s)
- Be fluent in English, both spoken and written
- International experience from studying or working abroad
To give us a chance to learn more about you as a person and to put a face on your application, please record a personal video of max. 2 minutes duration as a part of your application. You should use this video to show us more about who you are and tell us about your international experience.
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to record and submit your personal video.
If you advance through the initial interview process, you will, as the last step of our assessment, be invited to join our online TryOut from 15-16 March 2022. Participation in the TryOut is required to be considered for the International Business Trainee Programme.
