About the IO Finance graduate programme
When you join the Finance team in North West Europe at Novo Nordisk, you’ll work as a fully-fledged team member from day one, gaining comprehensive knowledge of the Novo Nordisk finance operation in Europe and a solid understanding of the underlying business.

Throughout the programme you will gain hands-on experience with transforming numbers into more than reporting, controlling and accounting by creating a solid platform for value adding finance business partnering. You will work with senior managers and build an international network of world-class colleagues, establishing yourself as one of tomorrow’s key finance people at Novo Nordisk.

The position

During the 2-year programme you will undertake 3 rotations of 8 months each. The rotations are shaped to suit your development needs, while meeting our business requirements and to ensure you build the required competences needed to become a future finance leader in Novo Nordisk. While each graduate plan is graduate-specific, below is an example of how the rotations could be shaped:

  • Rotation 1

During your first rotation, you will work either in a Finance Analyst or Market Analyst position in Region North West Europe’ headquarters in Copenhagen. Both roles entail management reporting as well as conducting several business analyses and projects in order to gain an in depth understanding of the European market.

  • Rotation 2

During your second rotation, you will get the opportunity to drive local projects or become a member of a finance/commercial team based in one of our offices in Europe, Asia or Latin America. You will move closer to the business and be responsible for key deliverables within the FP&A function, such as the planning processes and monthly reporting. Furthermore, you will continue to strengthen your business understanding and be involved in business cases to support the real-life challenges of the affiliates within the business area

  • Rotation 3

On your final rotation, you will have the chance to take up a position within one of the global headquarter finance functions in our corporate headquarters in Denmark or International Operations office in Switzerland. You will become truly close to the marketplace and get the chance to apply the knowledge gained in the previous rotations. You will get hands-on experience with business challenges and risks that pharmaceutical companies face in the marketplace and be able to impact the business with the acquired business understanding.
