The course of the Programme
As a Trading Graduate your trading-, strategic thinking-, and analytical skills will be challenged from day one. Get a complete overview of the Programme’s content in the illustration below.
The purpose of the introduction days is to introduce you to Danske Commodities. You will get an overview of our organisation and gain insight into our Trading & Origination business. We will also introduce you to our values, which are an important factor in our work life. Last but not least, the introduction days will give you the opportunity to get to know your fellow Graduates.
“My Challenge” is your opportunity to dig into a problem of value to DC. You will present your findings to relevant stakeholders in the company and get feedback on your results and your approach. This will give you an in-depth knowledge about a specific area within the company and a deep understanding of our business.
Energy Risk Professional-programme
The ERP-programme focuses on risk management within the energy industry and consists of two modules. As part of the Graduate Trading Programme, you will complete both modules, which provides you with a thorough understanding of the energy value chains and how the energy market works. The exams will take place in a capital in Europe, where we will combine your stay with visits to interesting stakeholders or counterparties. When you have passed both exams in the programme, you will obtain the internationally acknowledged certification Energy Risk Professional.
During the team challenge, you will be introduced to a critical issue in DC that you and your fellow graduates will solve as a group. This is a way for you to work closely with the other Graduates and also to expand your network across the organisation. The final result will be evaluated by the Senior Management Group of Danske Commodities at an exam that marks the ending of your time as a Graduate.
Mentoring, coaching and social events
To help and support you every step of the way, you will rely on your skilled colleagues and your manager, and you will be assigned an experienced trader or analyst to mentor you. Also, you will be offered sessions with an external coach to help you manage challenges and guide your development. And last but not least, the programme will include a number of social events, where you get to have fun outside the office, along with your fellow graduates and colleagues.
You have finished your studies within the last year (or will do so in the next few months). We expect that you hold a Master’s or Diploma degree with top grades. You may have expanded your specialist knowledge with a PhD or gained relevant experience through a student job, an internship, a study programme abroad or similar. Your educational background could be in finance, economics, engineering, physics, math or something completely different – the important thing is that you are passionate about trading, analysis or artificial intelligence and that you are ready to learn.
Please send your application as soon as possible and no later than 31 March 2019.
