Intro to Anne-Sophie
My name is Anne-Sophie Juul and I am a Medical Doctor from University of Copenhagen. Following a year of clinical work in cardiology and general practice, I transitioned to a role as an Associate in Novo Nordisk Consulting.
How did you end up at Novo Nordisk Consulting?
My curiosity! I was driven by my curiosity to explore alternative career paths as a Medical Doctor, ultimately leading me towards management consulting. A spark was ignited, and I was determined to pursue a career in this field after one year of clinical work. Upon learning about Novo Nordisk Consulting through a friend, I found the perfect opportunity to leverage my medical knowledge while acquiring the skills of a consultant.
What attracted you to Novo Nordisk Consulting as an employer?
The opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a leading pharmaceutical company like Novo Nordisk who is dedicated to driving change for millions of people with serious chronic diseases. Furthermore, the core values of Novo Nordisk, as embedded in the Novo Nordisk Way, completely align with my own values.
What has been the highlight of being a consultant at Novo Nordisk Consulting so far?
The most rewarding aspect of my role has been the opportunity to engage in diverse and impactful projects. Equally important has been the chance to collaborate with highly talented and culturally diverse colleagues from over 10 countries, each bringing expertise from a broad range of fields, including science, business, and medicine.
What has surprised you the most about working at Novo Nordisk Consulting?
The most surprising aspect has been the dedicated focus on fostering both professional and personal development. This is achieved through consistent feedback during project work and regular check-ins with your people manager. Biggest challenge as an internal consultant at Novo Nordisk so far?
The most significant challenge for me as an internal consultant has been adopting the skills of the consultant toolbox while gaining a comprehensive understanding of Novo Nordisk’s organisational structure, including the multitude of abbreviations.
What is your superpower? (what is something you are really great at)
My greatest strength lies in fostering a positive atmosphere, emphasising empathy, and understanding how to establish meaningful and supportive connections in every interaction. Greeting others with warmth and sincerity is a priority for me, contributing to the overall positive environment I strive to create.
