DFDS is a leading player in the shipping and logistics industry in Europe and is underway in a large green transition of its entire operations along with an extensive digitalization journey. In 2023, DFDS had EBITDA of ~5,000 mDKK, revenue of 27 bnDKK and employs ~13,000 people. At the same time, DFDS is also undergoing significant growth, in part through M&A.
Our strategic projects support these journeys in an industry that is also undergoing significant change. This includes an all-encompassing sustainability transformation, digitizing a traditionally handheld industry, consolidation resulting in much M&A activity, rapid technology changes such as autonomous transport and many players pursuing value chain integration strategies – all things which will drastically change the industry landscape.
Culture
The culture is characterized by three elements. Firstly, it’s very welcoming and candid. Colleagues will almost always be willing to stop what they’re doing to help out and give their honest opinion. Second, it’s flat – qualified voices have a strong opportunity to get speaking time with the ultimate decision makers. Thirdly, decision processes are quick, driven by an industry where adaption to current conditions is always key
Graduate hires are teamed up with a more experienced senior project manager on their projects. This allows for ample sparring and coaching. Further, we utilize courses provided by DFDS internal development team (incl. talent program, leadership development and comms/negotiation as examples), as well as sourcing external suppliers for trainings
