Today, we are launching our 2023/2024 Graduateships Most Popular graduate Programme List, our annual ranking of the 10 most popular graduate programmes and the 10 most popular graduate jobs in Denmark.
Most Popular Graduate Programme 2023/2024
The award for the most attractive graduate programme is focused on the overall programme from a company (ie Novo Nordisk Graduate Programme) and not the individual track/role. This is focused on the attractiveness of the entire programme in terms of views and clicks. More than 80 companies were considered.
Novo Nordisk Graduate Program
Novo Nordisk is undeniably on a winning streak—not only is it now the most valuable company in Europe, but it also boasts one of the most attractive graduate programs in Denmark. University students have recognized this, as seen in a recent survey where Novo Nordisk’s program was ranked among the most desired by graduates.
The programme has a strong focus on personal and professional development, as well as exposure to different areas in the organisation. Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen, the company’s current CEO, started his career in the same graduate program over 30 years ago, illustrating the programme’s potential for career advancement.
Novo Nordisk also takes great care of its international graduates. The combination of career growth opportunities, support for international graduates, and a vibrant social environment sets Novo Nordisk’s graduate program apart as one of the best in Denmark.
Ørsted Graduate Program
The Ørsted Graduate Program has transformed into one of the most robust and well-organized programs, reflecting the company’s growth. Over two years, participants experience 2-3 rotations, with the possibility of gaining international exposure in one of Ørsted’s global offices. The program attracts graduates in fields like Business Development & Finance, Digital & IT, and Engineering.

PwC Graduate Program

Most Attractive Graduate Job 2023/2024
The award for the most attractive graduate job is focused on the individual track/role (ie PwC Consulting Graduate). This is focused on the attractiveness of the specific graduate job in terms of views & clicks. More than 450 jobs were considered.
PwC – Consulting Graduate
Consulting has long been one of the most sought-after industries for recent graduates, so it’s no surprise that PwC has earned the award for best graduate job.
Over 24 months the Consulting track will ensure that you get the best start possible as a new graduate and consultant. You will be advising customers through all phases and forms of transformation – from advising in connection with strategic and financial decisions to implementing new solutions and following up on results. Besides the consulting track you can also choose between three other tracks: (1) CFO Service (2) Risk Assurance (3) Deals.

Carlsberg – Commercial Graduate
The second most popular graduate program is offered by Carlsberg in their Commercial track.
The International Commercial Graduate Program is a two-year rotation through various roles within Group Commercial and Carlsberg Export & License. Based at the Central Office in Copenhagen, participants gain experience in marketing and sales across different functions, with one rotation abroad in a local market outside Denmark, providing a steep learning curve and exposure to new opportunities.
Valcon – Graduate
As part of Valcon Nordics’ two-year graduate program, participants work with clients from day one and attend training programs to develop the necessary competencies to become world-class consultants. Valcon places a strong emphasis on personal and professional growth. Each consultant is assigned a mentor to provide feedback and guidance, ensuring continual skill development.
Participants join a value-driven company that fosters individual growth, offering the opportunity to work in a diverse, international environment with an informal culture that promotes collaboration across business areas and levels.
Methodology
Our methodology is straight forward – the ranking is based on the number of views and clicks the individual graduate program or graduate job received on Graduateships.com. This is, in our view, an objective way to measure “popularity” relative to one another, however it does of course not say anything about what it is actually like to be a graduate at the specific company. We have also tried to adjust for the amount of time a job was “active” on graduateships.com to ensure that duration was equaled out.
