Our investment banking division Client Solutions serves all our regions and is comprised of three excellent product factories: Corporate Solutions delivers tailored solutions in advisory, financing, risk management, trade and working capital for our corporate clients; Individual Solutions ensures a rich offering of investment and protection products for individuals; whilst Group Payments Solutions supports corporates, financial institutions, and individual customers in all their payments and liquidity management needs.
The Natural Resources, Utilities & Infrastructure Advisory is part of Sectors Germany, a product unit at the core of UniCredit’s Advisory & Financing Solutions business within Client Solutions. Overall, Sectors is responsible for guidance and coordination of all advisory services providing insights of complex industrial sectors. Within Advisory & Financing Solutions, Sectors follows an integrated industry and M&A execution approach with in-depth knowledge of TMT, Industrials, Consumer, Healthcare & Retail as well as Natural Resources, Utilities & Infrastructure sectors.

Tasks and responsibilities as a Trainee in the Natural Resources, Utilities & Infrastructure Advisory team include:
- Production & preparation of high-quality analysis and presentation material across market segments, regions within the Natural Resources, Utilities & Infrastructure sector including in-depth market, company and transaction analyses
- Supporting the development and origination of “made to measure” solutions within the scope of sector advisory presentations based on specific client requirements
- Work in conjunction with various product groups within Advisory & Financing solutions to respond to client needs. Coordination & integration of “tailor-made” input and selected participation in client pitch meetings
- Supporting the execution and coordination of M&A buy-side, sell-side, equity raising transactions along each single process step
- Execution of detailed financial models on diverse takeover, financing and company situations
- “Apply creativity & set new standards” – continuous refining of presentation, modeling and analytical standards
What you’ll need to succeed

You also match with the following requirements:
- You are in the final stages of your master’s degree in business administration, finance or economics with good/very good academic results (MBA, CFA is a plus), or have completed your studies within the last 2 years.
- Preferably prior experience in investment banking and/or consulting, ideally in M&A or alternatively in ECM / Structured / Leveraged / Project Finance
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, corporate finance & accounting skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of sub-sectors and businesses
- Knowledge of Refinitiv / Bloomberg / S&P CapitalIQ / FactSet / Mergermarket / et al.
- Excellent MS Office skills (esp. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Special knowledge and reliability according to § 87 (2) WpHG (2. FiMANoG) and § 1a and § 6 WpHGMaAnzV
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and deliver on-time & on-quality
- Confident and assertive conduct vis-a-vis clients & partners
- Willing to accept and master new challenges regularly
- Hard-working and motivated to “make a difference”
- Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Fluent English skills plus preferably very good German skills
