Intro to the graduate
I am a Technical project Manager at the Copenhagen office and I started my graduate program August 2024 with two weeks of intro camp at the Lund office.
When did you first hear about the Graduate Programme?
I first came across the graduate program on LinkedIn while I was actively searching for job opportunities after completing my master’s degree from CBS. It immediately caught my attention as a promising way to begin my career in a way that fits me.
What made you apply to the programme?
What drew me most to the program was its thoughtfully structured and comprehensive training approach, which suggested a well-supported onboarding experience. The emphasis on continuous learning and development was incredibly appealing, especially knowing that I wouldn’t be expected to have all the answers from day one. Instead, the program encourages growth from the very beginning. I was also excited by the strong focus on teamwork and the social community, not just within local offices but across countries as well. The idea of joining a vibrant, collaborative environment made the prospect even more inviting.
What has been the highlight of being a graduate so far?
The biggest highlight for me has been the incredibly supportive atmosphere, combined with the steep yet rewarding learning curve. I’ve never encountered such genuine willingness to help and include newcomers. Everyone is open to lending a hand or inviting us to join their meetings or projects. When challenges arise, the norm here is to connect with someone who has expertise in that area—whether they’re based in Sweden, Norway, or another office entirely. Being part of this extensive network of support and feeling so welcomed and included has truly been an amazing experience.
What has surprised you the most about working at the company?
The level of support has been the most surprising aspect. I didn’t expect it to be so easy to connect with people from other offices, even those I had never met before. Another pleasant surprise has been the focus on continuous development conversations. These discussions are designed to help us improve, work more effectively, and align our efforts with our personal interests and career goals. It’s reassuring to know that our growth is prioritized, with guidance on creating and achieving goals that matter to us – of course in alignment of Lime Technologies and what is being expected from us.
What has been the biggest challenge you have had to overcome as a graduate so far?
The biggest challenge so far has been securing customer tasks and project involvement. Early on, much of our time was dedicated to training sessions and learning best practices. While essential, I found that hands-on work with customer projects provided the most valuable learning experience. I addressed this by reaching out to my manager, and once availability allowed, I was assigned two projects to dive into, which was incredibly beneficial. Maintaining a steady flow of customer tasks remains a challenge, but with the support of my team and strategic planning, I’ve managed to navigate it successfully. What stands out is that whenever I face obstacles, I’m heard, and both time and effort are invested in finding solutions and refining my approach to work.
What advice do you have to other applicants that are considering applying for the programme?
My advice would be to keep an open mind, embrace every learning opportunity, and don’t hesitate to connect with people beyond your local office. Say yes to new experiences, and above all, believe in yourself—you have the capability and skills to handle both tasks and clients. And if you ever need assistance, support is always just a call or message away.
